Last year's newcomer class after rocking it at OSB!!

Newcomers are crucial to our team’s success at Nationals! It’s the last week to register, see below for details…

Hi team,

Happy (almost) Halloween! Here’s this week’s announcements:

-128Days -14Hours -51Minutes -10Seconds
  • Get hype for OSB, REGISTRATION IS DUE THIS WEEK! It’s time for the most important competition of the year: the Ohio Star Ball aka Nationals!!! This two day competition takes place in Columbus, OH on November 17th-18th and it’s the best weekend of the year! More details will follow, but if you want to go you need to fill out two forms this week:

1. Register on O2CM by this Saturday, 11/3. Do not pay on O2CM!!! Payment goes directly to the team and isn’t due until the week of the competition. If this is your first time using this website, I strongly recommend asking an experienced team member for help, as it is very confusing to use 🙁  Unlike other comps, OSB has an 8 event limit: this means you need to pick which 8 dances (ex. Am. Rumba, Intl Waltz, etc.) you’d like to compete in! If you’re new to the team, upper level team members are a good resource if you’re unsure which dances to pick 🙂

2. Fill out rooms and rides by this Saturday, 11/3. Only one person in a couple needs to register on o2cm, but both partners must fill out rooms and rides separately!

3. Get ready to dance all day and party all night during the best weekend of the year!

We traditionally refuel after a long day of dancing at OSB with a huge team pasta dinner! PC Lizzy Xiong

  • Partner search: Still looking for a partner for OSB? We’ve got you covered! We’ll be holding our last guided partner search at the end of Thursday’s newcomer lesson. If you’re searching for a partner for OSB, you can also post your info on this spreadsheet to let other team members know you’re looking. Please note that entering your details on the spreadsheet doesn’t mean we will find you a partner, it’s your responsibility to use the sheet to contact potential partners 🙂
  • Ballroom masquerade party! Get ready for a magical evening at our house party this Saturday, which is masquerade themed! Check out the photo below for costume inspiration, and check the Week at a Glance email for more details about time and location…
