Every\u00a0year, hundreds of students who want learn how to ballroom dance join our team.\u00a0Our team members and our professional coaches will teach you to dance from the very first step. You don’t need experience or a dance partner to begin dancing! Many of our team’s best dancers originally joined the team with\u00a0no dance experience<\/span>.\u00a0<\/p>

Once you are a member of the team, you will enjoy the following privileges:<\/p>

Newcomer lessons every Sunday in the IMSB<\/strong>!<\/p>

<\/p>

Review lessons once per week<\/strong>, usually on Thursday evenings,\u00a0taught by our experienced team members. These smaller classes are more personalized\u00a0for those looking for additional guided practice during the week.<\/p>

<\/p>

Open Dance every Sunday<\/strong> at the Union\/League hosted by the Ballroom Dance Club at the University of Michigan. The club also offers three levels of lessons every Sunday afternoon, the first two levels of which are free to our team members.<\/p>

Practice space Monday-Thursday at the Sports Coliseum<\/strong>.<\/p>

Finally, you’ll have friends, networks, and dancing skills <\/strong>that last a lifetime!<\/p>

Dues are $65 per semester<\/strong>. Please note: You must be a\u00a0student enrolled in a degree seeking program<\/strong> to join (but this can be at any university, not just the University of Michigan). You can pay by:<\/p>

      1. Venmo:\u00a0<\/strong>You can pay the team directly on Venmo, just search for\u00a0@UMBDT<\/strong>. Please include your name, uniqname, UMID, and whether or not you are new in the comment section of the payment.<\/li>
      2. Cash<\/strong>:\u00a0You can give cash to any board member. Be sure to get an email receipt!<\/li>
      3. PayPal<\/strong>: Send your payment to ballroom-exec@umich.edu. Please select that you are paying friends and family<\/strong>, as this avoids unnecessary fees and allows us to keep registration fees low.
