aria-level=\"1\"><b>Collegiate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> competitors may dance up to two adjacent levels in each style. For example, a competitor may choose to dance Bronze\/Silver Smooth and Silver\/Gold Latin, but cannot dance Bronze\/Gold Smooth because these levels are not adjacent. This rule applies to each competitor <\/span><i style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">individually<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (including TBA partners); no dancing Gold Latin with one partner and Bronze Latin with a different partner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Our <b>Collegiate Syllabus <\/b>events are open to all <b>collegiate<\/b> competitors, i.e. they are not affected by the &#8220;two adjacent levels&#8221; rule.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Our four&nbsp;<b>Open Amateur<\/b> events are open to both <b>non-collegiate <\/b>and <b>collegiate <\/b>adult dancers! All adult amateur dancers are welcome to register, regardless of age, however they are open-syllabus events and are best suited for Novice-level dancers and above.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligibility:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Competitors dancing in our <\/span><b>Collegiate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> level events must be current students or have graduated within the last six months, and will be asked to present a valid student ID at check-in. There is an exception for our <\/span><b>Collegiate Open Championship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> event, which is open to both <\/span><b>n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">on-collegiate<\/span>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">collegiate<\/span>&nbsp;dancers.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both partners must be eligible to compete in our <\/span><b>Collegiate <\/b>level events.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Again, our four&nbsp;<b>Open Amateur<\/b> events are open to both <b>non-collegiate<\/b> and <b>collegiate<\/b> dancers! They are open-syllabus events and are best suited for Novice-level dancers and above.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Newcomer<\/b>&nbsp;dancers<b>&nbsp;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">must have begun competing no earlier than August, 2025. This includes TBA partners.&nbsp;<\/span>We will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis, but please be considerate. If you have never competed but have been dancing socially for two years, you are probably too advanced for Newcomer.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are <\/span><b>no gender restrictions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on couples. Anyone may lead or follow whatever dances they wish, so long as they meet our leveling and eligibility requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Syllabus\/Costumes:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Competitors must follow the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndca.org\/pdf\/2023%20January%20-%205%20-%20NDCA%20APPROVED%20JAN%202023.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NDCA syllabus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for all styles.
