Let’s Get Coffee<\/strong>: Looking to enjoy the sweet treat of getting to know one of your fellow UMBDT dancers better? Perhaps while enjoying a sweet treat of cupcakes\/coffee\/bubble tea\/lunch? Fill out this Google form<\/a>\u00a0by Friday at midnight to be randomly paired with another member to get to know each other better!<\/p>\n

SAPAC Workshop Makeup Session<\/strong>: Thank you to everyone who attended the SAPAC Workshop on Thursday! For those of you who were unable to attend,\u00a0there will be a mandatory makeup session the evening of Monday, November 7th, 9:30-11pm. More details to come later this week!<\/p>\n

Purdue Videos<\/strong>: Videos from the Purdue Competition are up on our team’s YouTube channel! You can find the playlist here<\/a>, thanks to everyone who made these possible by helping film.<\/p>\n

OSB Rooms and Rides<\/strong>: It’s time for the most important competition of the season: the Ohio Star Ball!!! This two day competition takes place in Colombus, OH, and is the best way to showcase\u00a0your skills as an awesome ballroom dancer! More details will follow, but for right now our rooms and rides + registration need to be completed this week. Please do the following if you’d like to come:<\/p>\n

1. Fill out rooms and rides<\/a>\u00a0by this Thursday,\u00a011\/3<\/b><\/p>\n

2. Register on O2CM<\/a>\u00a0here by\u00a0this Thursday, 11\/3. Do not pay on O2CM!! <\/b>Payment goes directly to the team as usual; registration is $80 (however historically your registration cost is heavily subsidized by the team).\u00a0<\/b>OSB is special in that it has an 8 event limit: this means you need to pick what 8 dances (ex. Am. Rumba, Intl Waltz, etc.) you’d like to compete in!\u00a0Upper level team members are a good resource if you’re unsure which dances to pick.<\/p>\n

3. Get hype for the best weekend of the year!<\/p>\n

Partner Searches:<\/strong>\u00a0There will be two more partner searches this week taking place on Wednesday and Thursday, see below for times.\u00a0You can also post your info on this spreadsheet<\/a> to show other members you are looking. Remember, you need to be in a committed partnership in order to progress on the team, so the sooner you can find someone to be partners with, the better!<\/p>\n

Circle K Service Day:<\/strong> Interested in bonding with your ballroom buddies while giving back to the community? Sign up to participate in Circle K’s Service Day taking place the morning of Saturday, November 12th (8am-12pm)\u00a0here<\/a>. Deadline to sign up is Tuesday at noon.<\/p>\n
