So excited to have our team set and to have 25 new members – welcome, we are so glad to have you! Hope all of you, returners and newcomers alike, enjoyed our kickoff to the new semester at Girls and Guys Night last night. It was so much fun to celebrate the start of another semester together, and I cannot wait for more wonderful memories to come throughout the course of the next three months. Here are the updates for the\u00a0week ahead:
\n\"dts\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

DTS\/Comp Info Session<\/strong>: If you are a new member of the team as of this semester, please try and make it out tomorrow to our DTS\/Comp Info Session! This session is required<\/em>, as we will be going over pertinent information about our practice space at Dance Theatre Studio<\/a> (DTS for short) and introduce you to more in-depth info about competitions. You will not want to miss this! It will be at 9:30pm at the studio, see Anna’s email for details.<\/p>\n

OSU\u00a0Rooms and Rides<\/strong>:\u00a0The first competition\u00a0of the semester, the Ohio State University Dancesport Classic, is happening on Saturday, February 18th. If you are planning on attending, please sign up here<\/a>\u00a0by this Friday so we can make sure you have a place to stay and a ride to and from Columbus.<\/p>\n

MichComp Details<\/strong>:\u00a0Our home competition, fondly referred to as MichComp, will be taking place on April 8th at Saline Middle School. Save the date and start sharing with your family and friends so they can come cheer you on!<\/p>\n

UMBDT Fitness Group:<\/strong>\u00a0Are you interested in getting fitter? Getting Steve and Susan off your back for being out of shape? We’re introducing the ballroom team’s new workout Facebook group! The goal of this page is to encourage people to find common times to be able to workout together along with providing guidance on how to start working out. Check out the page here<\/a> for more details!<\/p>\n

Zap Zone Laser Tag<\/strong>: Looking for some friendly competition off the dance floor, for a change? Or an excuse to sneak around and zap your partner or teammates with a laser? Sign up to go to Zap Zone this Saturday at 7:30pm by filling out this Google Form<\/a> by midnight on Thursday. Details in the form, reach out to Tara Holz (taralyho@umich.edu<\/a>) with questions.<\/p>\n
