I hope everyone had a very festive Thanksgiving, regaining all the calories you used up at OSB. Even though our last competition of the semester is behind us, we still have lots in store as we close out this semester and head into the next. Here&#8217;s a few key things to mark on your calendar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Our mandatory sexual assault prevention and awareness center (SAPAC) workshop is this Thursday at 9pm in the IM Building, Multipurpose Room A. <\/strong>In this short interactive workshop, we&#8217;ll be talking about consent, bystander intervention strategies, and overall how to promote the safe and respectful culture that our team is known for. This is required for everyone on the team, unless you completed the workshop last semester.\u00a0<strong>This is a requirement for attending future social events, and attendance will be tracked. If you are unable to attend, please email us at ballroom-exec@umich.edu.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mark your calendars for the Arnold!<\/strong> The Arnold Ballroom classic, the sister competition to OSB, will be March 3-4th, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">which is the last Saturday and Sunday of spring break.<\/span>\u00a0Not only is this competition as big as OSB, the points we earn from Arnold add on to our next OSB score, thus making it essential for defending our title! Be sure to arrange your transportation so you end up back in Ann Arbor or Columbus so you can dance for the Terminator himself, who makes an appearance every year in the ballroom!!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Figure out what talents you have<\/strong> because our end of semester party is coming up on Saturday, Dec 9th! We&#8217;ll be celebrating the end of a successful semester with our tradition of a potluck+talent show, after which we&#8217;ll relocate and dance the night away. Footnotes Ballroom Company is having a holiday party<\/strong> which is Latin themed. They&#8217;ll be having a Mambo lesson and followed by some open dancing\/performances. They also have pretty good snacks.
