Here&#8217;s some key things for this week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>New members<\/strong> will be receiving an email shortly about our practice studio orientation, a required event for all new dancers. There you&#8217;ll also get some more info about how to find a partner and how competitions run! Competitions are always optional but definitely one of the most fun parts of learning how to dance. Just come to lessons in the meantime, and of course:\u00a0<strong>welcome to the team!!<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Returning members please pay your dues<\/strong>, which have been reduced to $50 for this semester. The payment methods are:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>1) Venmo: username is @UMBDT<\/p>\n<p>2) Check: made out to &#8220;Ballroom Dance Team&#8221;, give to any board member<\/p>\n<p>3) Cash: give to any board member, be sure to get an email receipt<\/p>\n<p>4) PayPal: friends and family to ballroom-exec@umich.edu, expect a fee<br \/>\nof ~3% if you haven&#8217;t linked your bank account<\/p>\n<p>5) Card: find the team treasurer Lizzie, 3% processing fee<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The MSU competition is this weekend! Registration and R&amp;R is closed. Payment deadline is Jan 31st, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">DO NOT PAY ON O2CM!!!<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Payment goes directly to the team&#8230;\u00a0check out our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michiganballroomteam.com\/competitions\/\">competition page here<\/a> for more information on payment and deadlines, as well as all other competitions this semester. For those that are new, the <a href=\"http:\/\/ballroomdance.club\/\">Ballroom Dance Club<\/a> is the team&#8217;s sister organization, which meets every Sunday.
