Hello team!<\/p>\n

I hope you\u2019re returning from your summer adventures refreshed and ready for\u00a0new year full of dancing, fun and wacky shenanigans with your dance family! I\u2019m so excited for all the opportunities coming up for the team in the next few months. Even though classes don\u2019t start until next week, we have lots of events coming up in the next seven days \u2013 read the whole post to find out more\u2026<\/p>\n

DTS Day:\u00a0<\/strong>On Wednesday (starting at 5.30 pm), we\u2019re doing our annual DTS day where we show some love to our studio and spruce it up ready for the new school year by\u00a0re-taping the floors and giving it a fresh coat of paint!\u00a0The more people that show up the more quickly we\u2019ll get done, so please make an effort to give a couple of hours of your time to thank the Crabtrees for generously allowing us to use the space year-round.<\/p>\n

Recruitment:\u00a0<\/strong>Our first flyering events are coming up this Friday and Sunday, so put on your ballroom gear and come and help recruit this year\u2019s newcomer class! Recruiting new members is a team-wide effort and is vital for the team\u2019s future stability, and our greatest asset is our wonderful current team members who welcome newbies and convey their infectious enthusiasm for dance! Look at the schedule below for flyering events this week, find Jing’s email to sign up for some events and keep an eye out on the team Facebook group for more information about recruitment.<\/p>\n

Team closet:\u00a0<\/strong>Please return any items borrowed from the team closet or from upper-level team members before the start of the semester so they are available for other people to use! If you\u2019ve grown attached to an item from the team closet and don\u2019t want to give it back, many items are available for purchase \u2013 contact Corey for more info.<\/p>\n

Tryouts\u00a0<\/strong>are coming up on SUNDAY\u00a0<\/strong>September 15th (1.30-3.30pm, CCRB 3275)<\/strong>, so save the date, find a partner and start practicing! Stay tuned for more information and sign-up next week. Reminder that you must settle any debts you owe to the team from last semester in order to try out: check your inbox for emails from Colin\/Clara to find out if you owe any money.<\/p>\n
