Hi Team,<\/p>\n

Welcome to the first WAG of the new school year! I am very excited to announce that after a long break the UMBDT will be back in-person. Starting this week returning members will have access to our off-campus practice space at DTS and starting next Sunday (Sep. 5) we will be hosting newcomer lessons at the CCRB!<\/p>\n

In preparation for our free lessons in September we need your help with recruitment! Our team will be at Festifall from 5-8pm this Thursday (Sep. 2)<\/strong> and we would love to have you there sharing your passion for dance with our potential new members. Please use this link to sign up for a time you can help flyer at Festifall.<\/a>\u00a0Also lookout for emails from our amazing recruitment chair Tiffany about upcoming opportunities for flyering and don’t forget to tell your friends about our free beginner lessons! Here is our recruitment flyer<\/a> with all of our free beginner lesson dates.<\/p>\n

I am also happy to announce that returning members will have access to our practice space at DTS starting this week! All team members using the DTS space will be required to wear masks while using the facility, and occupancy limits are in place for each of the studios (A, B, and C). If you would like to use the practice space don’t forget to pay dues to the team! Dues this semester are $60<\/strong> and can be paid via Venmo (@UMBDT), PayPal (ballroom-exec@umich.edu), Cash, or Credit Card. If paying by cash or card please contact our treasurer Liam in advance.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead in the semester tryouts for upper level teams will be on Sunday September 12 in the Union ballroom<\/strong>. Be on the lookout for an email with more information on how to sign up for tryouts coming soon. If you are still looking for a partner for practice, competitions, or tryouts you can add your information to this spreadsheet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Monday 8\/30:\u00a0<\/strong>Tell your classmates that you’re a part of the UMBDT for a fun icebreaker :)<\/p>\n

Tuesday 8\/31:\u00a0<\/strong>Welcome back to\u00a0DTS from 9:30-11:30 pm, don’t forget to pay dues and bring a mask!<\/p>\n

Wednesday 9\/1:\u00a0<\/strong>DTS 10:00 pm-12:00 am<\/p>\n

Thursday 9\/2:\u00a0<\/strong>Come flyer at Festifall between 5-8 pm on the Diag! DTS 9:30-11:30pm<\/p>\n

Friday 9\/3: <\/strong>Start thinking about tryouts and fill out\u00a0Rooms & Rides if you are going to OSU :)<\/p>\n

Saturday 9\/4:\u00a0<\/strong>Make some friends at the first home football game to bring to lesson tomorrow!<\/p>\n

Sunday 9\/5:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Join us for the first newcomer lesson of the semester at the CCRB from 3-5 pm!!!<\/p>\n
