This week we&#8217;ll be transitioning to Thursday 50\/50 lessons. This means that the first hour of Thursday&#8217;s newcomer lesson will be a review of what was taught at the prior lesson and the second hour will be &#8220;Guided Practice&#8221;. This is a time for individual dancers or couples to approach our teachers and ask for help! It&#8217;s a great opportunity to get questions answered, fix your technique, or learn some new moves! As always, feel free to come to DTS if you have questions on anything in the meantime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Announcements for Everyone:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ohio Star Ball Interest Form: <\/strong>Our biggest, most fun competition of the semester is the Ohio Star Ball on November 23-24! Fill out <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScwp5ZaShx0Okf8mHFXxu4e0P2oVxtKRnYl894R_LYRPK6T1g\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">the interest form here <\/a>by Thursday, October 17th so we can get an attendance estimate!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Competition Prep Night:<\/strong> If you\u2019re a newcomer and you\u2019re interested in competing, this event is for you! At Comp Prep Night, you\u2019ll learn everything you need to know about competing including what to bring, how to dress, and how to impress the judges before the music even starts! We\u2019ll also demo hair and makeup. Comp Prep Night will start at 7pm on Friday, October 25th at Johny\u2019s house. Snacks provided!&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social Event Interest Form:<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>We\u2019re gauging interest for several social events! Please fill <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSf2gyMIN-xdCXLf3YjItojVwrBGhyFAHOPpfMdAGNfR7Kw2RA\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">this <\/a>form out by 10\/20.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Competition Registration:<\/strong> The deadline for Purdue Ballroom Classic Rooms and Rides and registration payment is Friday, <strong>November 1st at Midnight.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Themed DTS:<\/strong> Themed DTS every Wednesday. This Wednesday\u2019s theme is hat day. Wear your baseball caps, bucket hats, fedoras, beanies, etc! See how long they stay on during jive :)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Partner Search:<\/strong> If you are looking for a partner, sign up and look <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1xhF2_M90abg5uLZZRJ85dOPY5EX95FRytRnAcJCfIf0\/edit?usp=sharing\">here<\/a>!
