I hope you&#8217;re all feeling well rested and ready to dance now that we&#8217;re back! Our team is all-in on MichComp planning and we have lots of exciting updates and announcements on that. We also have plenty of fun stuff going on this month (both dance and non-dance related) so keep reading to see what&#8217;s going on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Announcements for Everyone:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Michcomp Hosting: <\/strong>Other teams graciously host us in their homes at competitions to help us save on travel costs, and we do the same for MichComp! Please<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd4ZBW3S2mTnV7fPEEEkY0xj0l_kcuU05YUhFdsxgAMPG0jvw\/viewform?usp=dialog\"> fill out this form<\/a> to help host our friends on other teams by <strong>Friday, 3\/21.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Michcomp Registration:<\/strong> Registration for MichComp 2025 is open! Come compete with us at our home competition on April 5th. More information, along with registration, can be found in the email Nate will send out or on our website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michiganballroomteam.com\/?page_id=4710\">right here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shoutouts:<\/strong> We will be having shoutouts in our program at MichComp! This is a great way to support your friends on the team! It consists of a message and an optional photo. You can\/should also send this to your parents if they\u2019d be interested. The cost is $20 per shoutout. If you\u2019re interested, fill out this <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScFMj1EZmUMbNGCklJ4xqA4gh-9edcz7edfDHVBC24teHWM9A\/viewform?usp=sharing\">form<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Michcomp Advertising:<\/strong> Advertising Assignments have been sent out! You must have contacted all of your businesses by this <strong>Friday, 3\/14<\/strong>. Please let Nate know if you have any questions, and come pick up your materials (posters, etc) at DTS this week or print them yourself.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>St. Patties:<\/strong> We will be having a party this Saturday and a bar crawl on Monday, St. Patrick&#8217;s Day. More information to come!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Themed DTS:<\/strong> Themed DTS every Wednesday. This Wednesday\u2019s theme is lead\/follow swap. Leads wear your skirts, dresses, etc. Follows wear your dress pants, dance pants, button down shirts, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Partner Search:<\/strong> If you want to find a partner to practice and\/or compete with, please look at <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1Pt46RO07Vjf5jptsyEYKYkI8s3AVvRUJuNmIOerjq_Q\/edit\">this<\/a> partner search sheet for you to find a partner on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>W25 Approved Teachers:<\/strong> We recommend only asking for help regarding dance moves and technique from a list of couples approved by Steve and Susan. See the list <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1DUeZklNCZ8-c63v8x3DLlmHsZvQ_DeK5RqHKHFNPE-M\/edit#slide=id.g329667edd39_0_0\">here<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>W25 Competition Schedule:<\/strong> Check <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1kS8iFudYyr8WhoNtGzb-IIy04wWNyxquqlvGTl5yafU\/edit?usp=sharing\">here <\/a>for the dates of the competitions we\u2019ll be attending this semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Feedback Form:<\/strong> Do you have any questions, comments, or concerns about the team? We want to hear from you! Let us know by talking to a board member or by using the team&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michiganballroomteam.com\/?page_id=23\">anonymous feedback form<\/a> on our website. Anything you report to us is 100% confidential.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other Practice Spaces:<\/strong> Some great places to practice are the IMSB multi-purpose room A (where we hold lessons) and B (bottom of the stairs). Check<a href=\"https:\/\/recsports.umich.edu\/imsb-facility-schedules\/lg-mp\/\"> here<\/a> to find a time where the IMSB is not reserved for another group. The ballroom dance club is generally also available for lessons and open practice on Sundays 6-9pm in the Rogel Ballroom in the Union (free for UMBDT dues paying members). Check their schedule<a href=\"https:\/\/ballroomdance.club\/\"> here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Liability Waiver:<\/strong> Please fill out these yearly mandatory liability forms before coming to lessons and DTS if you are a new member! The IMSB liability form is <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd92nvMSb37BUVYsQV6zJsOXb_PyIEZb0Mn5wE4Mca4YayuRA\/viewform\">here<\/a> and the team waiver is <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdDif2LocBlkV9Ctrx4Ua2ITtFMXoDxW0xYOdaMgqPr-zwFKA\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">here<\/a>.
