All that\u2019s left for us on the team this semester is a few Newcomer Lessons and Social Events and our End of Semester Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Newcomer Lessons &#8211;<\/strong> The two remaining lessons this semester will be on 12\/4 and 12\/7, the latter of which will be split withShowcases . Next semester\u2019s Newcomer Lessons will follow the same schedule of Thursdays 9-11pm and Sundays 3-5pm at the IM starting on Thursday, January 8th. The first few lessons will be free, so invite your friends!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tryouts &#8211; <\/strong>We will be holding tryouts next semester on Sunday January 18th from 3-5pm. This is during the normal Newcomer Lesson time and will replace that Free Lesson. Stay tuned for the signup forms over Winter Break!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>End of Semester (EOS) Gathering &#8211; <\/strong>We\u2019ll be holding our End of Semester Gathering on December 6th. There will be a formal gathering from 7:30-10pm in North Quad 1255 and a party after in the same location as the Leads and Follows party!\n<ul>\n<li>Please sign up for the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1hq8p_FXTw6Ekrm734hHcfY9bwyzHM8CT8b9IZuXjjY8\/edit?usp=sharing\">potluck<\/a>, where tryout team members should bring main dishes and newcomers bring desserts or drinks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who has the most team spirit? Who gets sweatiest at comps? <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/KKuQ2uaqF9FeMeWR8\">Vote for superlatives here<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Practice Space Next Semester &#8211;<\/strong> Due to changes in Sports Coliseum availability, we will be practicing on the following schedule next semester beginning on the first day of class:\n<ul>\n<li>M 9:30-11:30 (DTS*), T 9-11 (IMSB), Th 9:30-11:30 (DTS*), F 5-7 (SporCol)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>* Dance Theater Studio is where we practiced for many years before they moved this semester. As a temporary measure while we are looking for new practice space for the coming year, we\u2019ll practice at their<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/3s7PG9KFsxrwyCq59\"> new location<\/a> a few times per week. As it\u2019s off campus, we\u2019ll have carpool signup sheets for every practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other Competitions &#8211; <\/strong>Check out <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1BxHOJvHZA4lel-NlFxtrRDRWSdvMorQDhZMbxp_BWH0\/edit?usp=sharing\">this document<\/a> for the dates of next semester\u2019s competitions. We highly recommend that you attend the Arnold Dancesport Classic during the 2nd weekend of spring break (March 7-8)! If you enjoyed OSB, you\u2019ll want to attend this comp!\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SAPAC Training<\/strong> &#8211; If you need to makeup SAPAC training, check your inbox for a message from Taryn on how to do so. This must be completed by EOS on December 6th or else you will not be able to attend.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Holiday Gift Exchange <\/strong>&#8211; On <strong>Wednesday December 3, 2025<\/strong> at the sports coliseum we will be having a holiday gift exchange! If you signed up you should have received an email from Taryn with your giftee and information.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MichComp<\/strong> &#8211; We\u2019ll be holding our own competition next semester on March 21st at Skyline High School, so save the date!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MichComp Committee<\/strong> &#8211; You should help us host our home comp next semester. Slides from meeting #1 found <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/10wfaXnUWNaQ1f3BJLH0lI6AhXhnMzREcaDN0MoGtiD4\/edit?usp=sharing\">here<\/a>, fill out <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeendFVQm_ctOoeHbNR0f9p-QhYJczIDBtuhzEOVt-zyy7wYw\/viewform?usp=header\">THIS FORM<\/a> to tell us what committee you want to be on, and fill out this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.when2meet.com\/?33307844-qNF2K\">When2Meet<\/a> to tell us when you\u2019re available. We\u2019ll be having another meeting on December 5th, 7-9pm in Mason Hall 2437.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social Event! &#8211; <\/strong>We will be going ice skating at <a href=\"http:\/\/yost.umich.edu\/\">Yost<\/a> on Sunday, December 7th from 1:30-2:50! It\u2019s $5 to skate for students, $10 to skate for adults, and $5 to rent skates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Due to a lack of participants, Dancing With The Newcomers is cancelled!<\/strong> We will still be doing showcases though. Please sign up for those <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSf2dVmRocnufaDWaiNUe8LdSwSnrx7u0SQkJPaWzivuS_jzww\/viewform?usp=publish-editor\">here<\/a>. These are fun showcases that can be done with your regular partner or with the newcomer you had signed up with or anyone you can find! If you need advice feel free to reach out!\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other Practice Spaces <\/strong>&#8211; You can go to the IM Multipurpose Rooms outside our booked time, check the facility schedule<a href=\"https:\/\/recreation.umich.edu\/imsb-facility-schedules\/\"> here<\/a>.
