Happy Fall Break! I hope everyone is having a restful extended weekend… not too restful though, as Purdue is quickly approaching! Along with this week’s calendar, we have a few announcements regarding DTS:<\/p>\n

1. Liability waivers:<\/strong>\u00a0please sign a liability waiver this week when you’re using the space. They will be on the table in the entrance area, next to the laminated sign up sheet for chores.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Chores:<\/strong> Right as you walk in to DTS,\u00a0please sign up for a chore on the laminated sheet in the entrance area. <\/strong>If you are unsure how to do something, ask the board member\u00a0opening that night (it will be written down on the sheet). Returning members<\/em>: there are new chores this year so please ask for clarification when needed.\u00a0It is your responsibility to double check that you did something correctly!<\/p>\n

3. Some other basic DTS Rules: No street shoes<\/strong>, food, or drink are allowed in the studios. Please do not touch the thermostat. There is also a 40 person limit due to the fire code.<\/p>\n

Monday 10\/19:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

7:00pm \u2013 12:00am: Open practice space in the Pendleton Room, Michigan Union.<\/p>\n

DTS is NOT open!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

Tuesday 10\/20:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

9:00pm \u2013 11pm: Newcomer lesson at the CCRB. This is a great way to prep for Purdue!<\/p>\n

10pm \u2013 12am: DTS Open Practice Space<\/p>\n

\n

Wednesday 10\/21:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

9:30pm \u2013 11:30pm: DTS Open Practice Space<\/p>\n

9:30pm \u2013 11:30pm: Ballroom Office Hours @ DTS<\/a>. Come with your questions! :D<\/p>\n

Thursday 10\/22:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

9:00pm \u2013 10:00pm:\u00a0Newcomer lesson at the CCRB.<\/p>\n

10:00pm \u2013 12am: CCRB 3275 Open Practice Space and ROUNDS!\u00a0<\/strong>Stick around after newcomer lesson to practice your tango face and everything else you’ve learned!<\/p>\n

Friday 10\/23:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is NO<\/strong> newcomer lesson today as most of the team will be at the Purdue Comp.<\/p>\n

Saturday, April 2nd: SAVE THE DATE — 16th Annual Michigan Ballroom Dance Competition! We have secured Pioneer High School as our venue and our Home Comp chair Josh is already working hard to make sure it will be a great comp. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to that weekend!<\/p>\n
