Hi team,
Through everyone’s combined efforts, we took home our 12th National Title this past weekend at National Collegiate DanceSport Championships! I would definitely toast to that!
I cannot describe how immensely proud I am of each and every one of you for your accomplishments, not just this past weekend but throughout the semester thus far. It is incredibly scary to try ballroom dancing–let along anything new at all — and all of you, especially you newcomers, rose to the occasion and embraced the challenge. I hope you are excited by the progress you’ve made (most of you know more than 8 dances at this point!), but even more excited at the potential of how much you can grow as a dancer (*ahem*, did anyone see Josh and Michelle’s chacha?!).
You are part of something much larger than you ever could imagine, a team that goes beyond the scope of your time at the University of Michigan. These dance memories and relationships expand beyond just Ann Arbor, and I hope you’ve all enjoyed your experience thus far.
Thank you everyone for the heart and soul you put into UMBDT! Just a few more papers, group projects, and tests until MASHED POTATOES <3333
XOXO,
Jiaxin
P.S: There is a sizable lost and found! Please let Kevin know if you’ve lost something and he can maybe help ya out.
