Ciao mia famiglia! (yes, I speak a little Italian, fun fact)
Congrats on a successful first week of recruitment for the 2016-2017 school year! I am so impressed by the number of people that we had come out to help hand out flyers during all of our different events. Fun fact: we have handed out 2800 flyers thus far, that’s CRAZY!! Thank you for dedicating your time and energy to contribute to our team’s future success.
On the horizon…
- Tryouts FINAL REMINDER: This is your last chance to sign up for tryouts! If you have not already signed up, please read this and fill out the Google Form ASAP at the latest by 5pm tomorrow!
- Girls and Guys Night: Our infamous night of welcoming our new members and introducing them to all things UMBDT will be happening on Saturday, September 24th. Save the date and look for more details and facebook events to follow!

6-8pm: Practice in the Rogel Ballroom in the Union before our big event
8-10pm: Our second major free Welcome Week event! Invite all of your friends to our facebook event, and as always, proudly rep your Michigan Ballroom apparel! We will have another Snapchat filter specifically for this event so let’s get UMBDT on that Campus story
10:30pm: Welcome Week after party! Show up to the free lesson to find out the location.

3-5pm: Stick around after tryouts to inspire our prospective new members and make them feel welcome at our second free Saturday lesson in the CCRB Mirror Room. The ever fabulous Steve and Susan will be teaching!
5-6:30pm: Dinner after our free lesson – get to know some of our prospective members and make them feel welcome. Location will be announced during the lesson, try and make it if you can!

Rest after all of your hard work prepping for yesterday! Take some time to de-stress and give thanks for something or someone you appreciate in your life :)
NO CLUB LESSONS
We are listening! In an effort to increase exec board transparency, our board decided to include a new section of Week at a Glance called In the Board Room that briefly mentions the topics discussed at our weekly meeting. The hope is this new section will give you all some insight into what we are working on and if you have any questions about those topics you are welcome to approach us and ask for more info. If you ever have feedback on how we are doing or suggestions for improvement, email us at ballroom-exec@umich.edu or talk to any of this year’s board members.
