11/6/16 Week At A Glance

Hello my fellow dancers,

Happy November! Hope you are all having a wonderful start to this brisk fall month. OSB is right around the corner,  so I hope you are all practicing hard and getting hyped!! We have this much time left:

-3254Days -6Hours -2Minutes -40Seconds

Below are the updates for you, ballroom babes:

Let’s Get Coffee: Thanks to everyone who filled out the coffee pairings! Neil, our Public Relations Chair, will be sending out the matches tomorrow. Enjoy getting to know each other over your beverage of choice sometime this week.

SAPAC Workshop Makeup Session: The makeup session of our mandatory SAPAC Workshop is tomorrow, November 7th, 9:30-11pm. It will take place in Angell Hall, room G127 and the updated group pairings are here. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Arcade Night: Our newfound social committee has planned an Arcade Night for this upcoming Friday at 7pm at Pinball Pete’s. Enjoy some classic pinball, air hockey, and more with your fellow teammates. Find details on the Facebook event here!

Apparel Distribution: For all of you who invested in repping some ballroom gear, you can pick up apparel at our NEW OFFICE SPACE, Room 4344 in the Michigan Union on Wednesday night, 6:30-8:30pm. Also, if you lost something at Purdue or DTS (or anywhere else related to our team), you can check the Team lost and found at the office as well. Thanks!

OSB Rooms and Rides: If you have not filled out Rooms and Rides yet, please do so ASAP. The extended deadline has already passed and space cannot be guaranteed at this point. O2CM registration deadline has passed however you may still register if the online form allows you to.

OSB Costume Rules: Here’s a quick reminder of the OSB costuming rules which are different from some other collegiate competitions:

Dress Code Rules:
There are no costumes allowed in Newcomer, Bronze or Silver. NO reflective material, sequins, rhinestones, etc. Fringe is fine. No decoration jewelry with light reflective qualities, including earrings necklaces, bracelets, etc. No decoration, material or shoes with any light reflective qualities. No gloves or floats. Costumes are allowed for Gold, Novice, Pre-Champ and Open.”

Please follow these costume rules otherwise the officials will ask you to (this has happened).

OSB Spray Tans: If you are interested in getting a spray tan on Thursday, November 17 before the Ohio Star Ball, please fill out this interest form by end of day Wednesday.

OSB Snacks: For multi-day competitions like OSB and Arnold, we like to bring a little more food and drinks to keep energy up between rounds. To fund the ballroom cornucopia, we ask that everyone chip in just $3, which will be added onto the normal competition costs like gas. If you would like to opt out of eating the team snacks and save yourself 3 dollars, just fill out this form saying you want to do so.
