Hey team, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and survived their first week back from break! Can you believe Arnold was just a week ago? Here are the announcements for this week!
SAPAC Workshop: One final reminder that the mandatory Ballroom Bystander Intervention Workshop in partnership with SAPAC is taking place this Tuesday 10pm at DTS for all new members. Please fill out this google form if you haven’t already, and I look forward to seeing you then!
EOS Save the Date: Our End of Semester party will be taking place on the evening of April 22nd! Thanks to everyone who filled out the survey to discern the best date for our team. It is critical that we have as many members as possible at this event because not only will we be celebrating all that we have accomplished together this year, but we will also be having Elections for the UMBDT 2017-2018 Executive Board. Look for an email with more information on elections in the next couple of days, but please save the date for this event – you won’t want to miss it!
MichComp Shout-Outs: Every year we have a program at MichComp which contains shout-outs! These can be purchased by family, friends and team members to show appreciation for someone (e.g. a graduating senior, dance partner, etc.) and can include a photo, text or a mix of the two. If you’d like to purchase a shoutout ($20 quarter page, $45 full page) contact Kevin Lavelle (kwlavel@umich.edu), or if you would like a team member to reach out to a friend or family member about purchasing shoutouts, fill out this google form.
MichComp Housing Sign-Up: With hosting MichComp, we need spaces for other teams to crash just like we do for other comps! Please help return the favor by checking with your roommates and signing up to help us host visiting team members on Friday, April 7th and Saturday, April 8th. Sign up here and reach out to Kevin with questions/concerns.
UMBDT Goes Green: Don’t worry, we aren’t turning into Spartans, just celebrating St. Patrick’s Day together! Party all night long with us after St Fratty’s on Saturday night. Look for details in the Facebook event posted later tonight.
Bicentennial Party: The Ballroom Club’s Bicentennial Party will be Sunday the 19th. There will be snacks and a ~live~ 17-piece jazz orchestra playing from 7-9:30. Semi-formal dress is encouraged but not required, and tickets can be purchased day of for $10. Check out the Facebook event here and hope to see you all there!
Through the Grapevine: Missing the sunshine and sweet satisfaction of being on break without any responsibilities? Relive the glory days through the UMBDT Spring Break Lip Sync video below :) Thanks to everyone that contributed!
