Here’s our “Week at a Glance” for 10/15/17:
Some things for new members:
- Mandatory DTS info session for newcomers! If you missed our info sessions for DTS, please message Fabi (fabiolga@umich.edu). Otherwise, you will not be allowed to use our practice space at DTS.
- Join our FB group! It’s the hub of our community and is where most of our event logistics are posted. Check it out here, and just hit request access.
- Wear some dance appropriate clothes/shoes. Until the weather starts cooling down, the CCRB can get a little warm while we dance. Maximize your comfort and flexibility by wearing clothes that are easy to move in, and breathable. Shoes must be worn at all times, no bare feet or just socks allowed.
Things for everyone:
- Wisconsin is coming up! Rooms and rides and early registration are now closed. Competition details:
Rooms and rides were already due on October 13th! Please email David if you still need to fill it out
- Scare your teammates and film it! We’re making a video in the weeks leading up to Halloween, and need shots of your frightened teammates! Simple or elaborate, film someone spooked and submit it to eyxiong@umich.edu.
- Flashmobs! This is a fun way to engage our community with ballroom. Also, the more we perform, the more we can FUNDRAISE FOR OUR TEAM! Sign up here! The money goes toward keeping dues low, paying for lessons, and subsidizing comps so it’s in everyone’s interest to come help out! Newcomers, this is a fun way to show off some of the things you’ve learned so far!
- Questions? Email us! If you want to know something that you can’t find the answer to, just shoot us an email at ballroom-exec@umich.edu. We’re very quick at replies.

At last but not least… with a team as big as ours, sometimes it’s hard to track who is who when cheering your teammates on the dance floor. In the weeks leading up to OSB, we’re going to be going through team by team and introducing your teammates!
This week on meet your teammates: Pre-C!
