We’re onto our last free week of lessons and events! Here’s what’s coming up this week in the world of ballroom dance:
- Guys and Girls Night is this Saturday!! It’s our favorite night of the year, where we welcome our new dancers, and drop some essential info on team procedures (like how to find a partner!). We’ll be starting at 8pm, with locations sent out to members who have paid your dues.
- Pinball Pete’s Social is happening Monday 7-9pm (before newcomer lesson). Come meet our newest team members! Also get a head start on training since we’re scrapping elections and instead having a DDR contest to determine president this year.
- Returning members please pay your dues, which have been reduced to $50 for this semester. The payment methods are:
1) Venmo: username is @UMBDT
2) Check: made out to “Ballroom Dance Team”, give to any board member
3) Cash: give to any board member, be sure to get an email receipt
4) PayPal: friends and family to ballroom-exec@umich.edu, expect a fee
of ~3% if you haven’t linked your bank account
5) Card: find the team treasurer Lizzie, 3% processing fee
- MSU competition signups are open! Check out our competition page here for more information on costs and deadlines. As MSU is not providing housing for their comp, please read the rooms and rides in detail!! If you know anyone who would be willing to house team members in the East Lansing area, let David know :)
- We’ve got a brand new Facebook page for friends and family! Since your mom is probably asking for photos of you dancing anyway, now you just have to link them here.
