Get hype for showcases on Thursday!
Hi team,
First and foremost, CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who participated in tryouts this afternoon! I was blown away by the hard work, dedication and courage (tryouts can be scary!) shown by each and every one of you today, it was so much fun to watch and see how much you have all improved since last year. I will send out the results as soon as they become available on Monday, so keep an eye on your email inboxes! Good luck at your first team lessons this week :)
- Recruitment: Thank you to everyone who participated in our first Saturday lesson taught by S&S, we had over 90 newcomers participate this week! Our first event with showcases is this Thursday 8-10pm in the League ballroom so come and tell the newcomers why ballroom is the best club on campus! Then join us on Saturday for another lesson taught by S&S (4.30-6pm, CCRB 3275) followed by a team dinner – come reconnect with teammates and meet potential new recruits!
- Competitions: our competition schedule for the semester is available here! Please fill out the interest survey so we can plan transportation and accommodation for the upcoming semester. Questions about competitions? Contact your lovely Away Comp Chair Natalie Fox (natfox)!

9-11pm: Standard practice space in CCRB 3275
No DTS, come to the CCRB instead!
Wednesday 9/18
9.30-11.30pm: Open Practice at DTS
Thursday 9/19
6-8pm: Standard practice space in the League ballroom – please note we’ll do a practice run for showcases at 7pm
8-10pm: Our first big recruitment event in the League ballroom! Invite your friends, wear your ballroom apparel, dance with some newcomers and cheer your teammates on as they perform their showcases!
No DTS, come to the League event instead!

Saturday 9/21
4.30-6pm: Inspire our prospective new members and make them feel welcome at our third free Saturday lesson in the CCRB Mirror Room. The ever fabulous Steve and Susan will be teaching!
6-7.30pm: Team dinner, location TBD
