Get hype for showcases on Monday!
Hi team,
We’ve got a big recruitment week coming up, so put on your team apparel and come and support your teammates as they perform on Monday, and help hand out flyers at Winterfest on Tuesday and Wednesday!
- Recruitment help needed! Our greatest asset for recruitment is our wonderful current team members who welcome newbies and convey their infectious enthusiasm for dance! Winter semester recruitment mostly happens through word of mouth, so your participation is very important 🙂
Step 1: Sign up to help for an hour or two at Winterfest on Tuesday and Wednesday here. Winterfest will be in the Union this semester! Newcomers, if you couldn’t find a partner last semester this is a great opportunity to recruit yourself one :)
Step 2: Share our Welcome Week events on Facebook and invite all your friends here.
Step 3: Attend our newcomer lessons on Monday and Saturday, dance with the newcomers and tell them why ballroom is the best club on campus!
Help recruit the newest generation of the MBDT at Winterfest this week!
- Ballroom Game Night returns! Back by popular demand, we’ll be having another team game night this Friday (1/24) 8:30-10pm in 2455 Mason Hall! Bring your favourite games and snacks for a chill evening hanging out with your teammates :)
- American lessons: Steve and Susan will be running a special Bronze American lesson on February 3rd, so save the date and keep an eye out for an email from your fabulour Curriculum Chair Madeline with more details and sign up! The lesson is open to anyone on Pre-C or above, and you don’t have to attend with your regular partner if they can’t make it. It’s free to attend and will be 7-9pm in Steve and Susan’s studio.

Tuesday 1/21
4.30-7pm: Winterfest! Help us recruit the next generation of the MBDT by flyering at this event :)
9-11pm: Newcomer/Pre-C guided practice in CCRB 3275! Come and get some help from A-team to start preparing for upcoming competitions in the next few weeks…
10pm-midnight: Open Practice at DTS
Wednesday 1/22

9.30-11.30pm: Open Practice at DTS
Thursday 1/23
9-11pm: Open Practice in CCRB 3275! Practice your standard 🙂
No DTS, come to the CCRB instead!

8.30-10pm: Ballroom Game Night in 2455 Mason Hall!
Saturday 1/25
5-6.30pm: Newcomer lesson in CCRB 3275 with Steve and Susan! Wear your apparel, dance with the newcomers and tell them all about how awesome ballroom is!
10pm-???: Welcome Week party! Come and socialize with our newest recruits 🙂. More details coming soon!
