Only one more week until break! Good luck powering through all the midterms, papers and projects which stand in the way between you and FREEDOM!
Here’s the announcements for this week:
- Important info about Arnold: Competition from other schools at Arnold is often very fierce, so we’ll need to work hard to defend our title this year! Remember that there’s no event limit for Arnold, so you can dance two consecutive levels in all four styles and win heaps of points for our team!!! If you’re a lead with some spare dances available, consider dancing TBA with one of our team’s TBA follows! Contact Lizzie (enabney) if this applies to you and I’ll help pair you with someone. Also, the registration deadline has been extended, so there’s still time to register if you’ve found a partner last minute!
- Final preparations for Arnold! Check out these useful team resources to help you prepare for the comp 🙂
- The deadline for payment was last week, so if you haven’t paid your registration fee ($40 if you joined the team after February 2019, $70 for everyone else) please do so ASAP!!! Don’t be a jerk and make Colin hunt you down. Venmo @UMBDT preferred, cash/check/card/PayPal accepted.
- We’ll be running practice competition rounds this Thursday in the CCRB 9-11pm. Come and warm up for the big weekend and practice cheering for your team-mates! We also have League Ballroom practice space on Monday and Wednesday, so come and practice your standard ready for the big floor at Arnold!
- Newcomers, check out the team closet which contains many items you can borrow to wear at Arnold! The password is in the WAG email.
- Ladies, also check out these video tutorials by team alumna Katherine for help with competition hair and makeup!
- Everyone, check out our competition preparation list to see what you need to pack! Don’t be the guy who forgets his tie or the girl who forgets her spandex 🙁
