Throwback to our last social lesson and thank you to everyone who came out today to learn our 3 new dances!
Hi Team,
I hope everyone has had an amazing week of dancing! It was great seeing everyone in the CCRB today to learn the waltz, samba, and quickstep :) Read on for all our fun and exciting ballroom events this week!
Some things for new members:
- Comp info session/DTS intro session/Partner Search! Have all your competition questions answered, learn about how to use our practice space and find a potential dance partner, all in one convenient evening! Please note, attending the DTS intro session is mandatory if you want to use team practice space at DTS for the rest of the semester. If you have a conflict and are unable to attend, please contact your wonderful Practice Space Coordinator Michael (satchelm@umich.edu) to arrange a make up opportunity!
- Time: Thursday 9:00-11:00pm
- Location: We will walk over together from the CCRB to Dance Theatre Studio! If you are unable to walk over with us from the CCRB you can meet us at DTS at 713 North University Avenue (near Panera) at 9:45 pm
- Partner Search: Our partner search event will work a bit like speed dating, with every lead having an opportunity to talk to every follow! Feel encouraged to get the contact info of anyone you would be interested in dancing with and try out practicing with multiple people :)

- Calendar: The team has its own Google calendar, available here, which you can use for reminders for all our events during the week and to see what competitions are coming up!
Some things for upper level tryout team members:
- American Lessons: The first bronze American Lesson will be this monday (10/11)! See Erika’s email for more info.
Some things for everyone:
- DTS on Thursday: There will be no open practice Thursday. DTS is being used for newcomer intro night!
- Newcomer Lesson Schedule: Due to fall break there will be no lesson on Sunday (10/17)
- Competition Interest Form: If you think you are interested in going to Purdue (11/13) or our national competition OSB (11/20-11/22) please fill out these interest forms! Our wonderful away comp chair Lauren will be sending more information about competitions this week :) Purdue Interest Form and OSB Interest Form

9:00-11:00 pm: Partner Search in CCRB 3275 and DTS Intro Night!!
9:00-9:40 pm: Partner Search event in CCRB 3275 and walk over to DTS :)
9:45 pm: Meet at DTS if you are coming from elsewhere
NO Open Practice at DTS Tonight!!!

- Shoe Vending is Coming! Be on the lookout for an email this week with more information on how to order shoes through the team :) If you would like to order shoes on your own Amazon and VEdance are both great resources!
- Corn Maze Trip: Mark your calendar for our annual trip to the corn maze next Friday (10/22)! More information and a sign-up will be coming soon.
