Throwback to our first showcase of Fall 2021!!
Hi Team,
I hope everyone had a great first week of classes and recruitment! It was great to see so many new and returning faces at our first lesson of the semester today :) This week we have lots more recruitment events coming up, as well as tryouts for the winter upper-level teams! Read on for more information on everything ballroom happening this week:
- Updated Tryouts Information: Thank you to everyone who has already signed up for tryouts! For those of you still considering it’s not too late, the tryouts deadline is being pushed back to Wednesday 1/12/22 at 11:59 pm! Please review the tryouts document and fill out this new and updated google form if you are interested in participating in the tryout this Saturday (1/15/22)! Everyone wanting to participate in the tryout will need to fill out the updated google form, even if you already filled out the previous form, thank you!! Reminder you must be fully vaccinated, including your booster, to participate in tryouts! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me (alocey@umich.edu)!
- More Tryouts: If you need to borrow from the team closet for tryouts please reach out to Tiffany (tiffle@umich.edu) ASAP! Here is a link to the team closet document if you would like to look at all our available options :)
- More More Tryouts: Reminder that you must pay your $60 winter semester dues and settle any outstanding debts you owe to the team from last semester in order to try out: check your inbox for Liam’s spreadsheet to find out if you owe any money.
- Still looking for a partner? Use our partner search spreadsheet to find someone to dance with this semester!
- Recruitment This Week: We have several more free events coming up for our recruitment season this week, including lessons on Thursday (1/13) and Sunday (1/16)! Please come to these lessons if you can to help show your love of dance and encourage our newcomers to join our team! We will also be at the virtual winterfest this Tuesday from 5-7 pm and would love to see many of you there! You can join us virtually at this zoom link :) If you would like some posters to hang in the dorms, around campus, or give your friends contact Tiffany (tiffle)!
- Showcase Opportunities: Showcases are one of the best way to recruit new members as well as show off your awesome dance skills! We will be having showcases during the lessons on Thursday 1/13 and Thursday 1/20! If you are interested in participating in a showcase on either of these dates please use these links to sign up: Thursday 1/13 sign up and/or Thursday 1/20 sign up!
