Hi Team,
Happy finals season! If you didn’t make it to the lesson today you missed out on a lot! Steve and Susan taught Viennese Waltz, Samba, and Quickstep and taught new moves. If you missed out you can come on Thursday or to DTS to ask an A team member. Also, important news this week surrounding the EOS party, showcases, and tryouts so please read the whole wag!!
Special Announcements for Everyone:
- SAPAC Makeup: To anyone who missed the SAPAC workshop, you will need to fill out this form as a makeup. Note that we will be checking who fills out the form. You will need to complete this before our End of Semester Party (aka EOS) or you will not be eligible to attend. You will also be ineligible to participate in any of our social events in the future. Please take this seriously. We will be reading all answers, and if we decide that your responses are insufficient, we may ask you to attend a makeup workshop with Ray later to ensure you know all the content. If you attended the workshop you do not need to fill out the form.
- Holiday Showcases: It’s the winter celebration stretch, and about time to start rockin’ around the CCRB! Our Holiday Showcases will be happening on December 8th from 9-11 pm at the CCRB! Everyone is welcome to do a showcase, no matter your dance level! We would love to see everything you’ve learned so far! Please sign up here! The form is due Wednesday the 7th at 11:59 PM.
- EOS: As we’re wrapping up the semester, we will be having our end-of-semester celebration on December 10th at 7 pm in North Quad room 2435! This will feature a potluck (sign up here!), a talent show (sign up here!), team superlatives (fill out the form here), and a super secret social event afterward! It will be semi-formal so please come dressed to impress. You must have done the SAPAC training in order to attend. If you are a graduating senior (this semester) please fill out this form *here* so we can send you off with love. Please fill out the forms by Wednesday the 7th at 11:59 PM.
- Team Superlatives: Dear team, we messed up :( If you already filled out the form please fill it out again as the last form was wrong. We will only be counting the responses on the new form so please fill it out. It can be found in the above blurb.
- Comp schedule: In love with competing??? Get excited for the biggest competition of the Winter Semester: The Arnold Dancesport Classic on March 4-5, 2023! (This is the last weekend of spring break so start arranging plans early!) Help us earn points for next year’s OSB and also see the man himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger :) If you are interested in competing in more competitions, check *here* for the full competition schedule for next semester.
- Tryouts: They will be held on January 14th from 3-6 pm in the IMSB Multipurpose Room (up the stairs to the left). There will be more information coming your way closer to tryouts so keep an eye out if you want Steve and Susan to help you get wayyyy better than you are now! In the meantime, you must have a partner so start looking now click *here* for the winter 2023 partner search spreadsheet.
- Apparel: If you ordered stickers for apparel, they are here! You can either pick them up at the lesson this Thursday, EOS, or contact Ray to pick them up if you can’t make either event!
