Hi Team,
Happy finals season! This week was a busy one. We hosted our holiday showcases, had a lesson with Can and Eda, said goodbye to the CCRB, had our End of Semester Party, and had our last lesson of the year with me and Jason. Wow! This week things wind down as we say goodbye to the year and the semester but not goodbye to ballroom. We will be starting this up again in January and competing in February!
Special Announcements for Everyone:
- Club Lessons: If you can’t get enough of dance and are excited to learn more, Nathan and I will be teaching an International Rumba Lesson at the Ballroom Club on 12/18 starting at 6 pm in the Michigan Union Ballroom! It will be followed by a bachata lesson and then an open dance. It is free for all Ballroom Team members. Other community members can come so you can bring your friends but they will have to pay if they aren’t on the team. The link to the club schedule is *here*
- Showcases: Can’t get enough of showing your newfound dancing skills to other people? Sign up for our Winter ’22 Showcases! You get to show off to the new newcomers everything you’ve learned! Please fill out this form *here* by January 10th if you’d like to showcase with us!
- Comp schedule: In love with competing??? Get excited for the biggest competition of the Winter Semester: The Arnold Dancesport Classic on March 4-5, 2023! (This is the last weekend of spring break so start arranging plans early!) Help us earn points for next year’s OSB and also see the man himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger :) If you are interested in competing in more competitions, check *here* for the full competition schedule for next semester.
- Tryouts: They will be held on January 14th from 3-6 pm in the IMSB Multipurpose Room (up the stairs to the left). There will be more information coming your way closer to tryouts so keep an eye on your inbox if you want Steve and Susan to help you get wayyyy better than you are now! I hope all of you had a lovely semester. I am so proud of each and every one of you for dancing and getting better through the semester.
