Hi Team,
Today the CMU competitors drove home after a LONG day of dancing yesterday. However, they did phenomenally!! I hope you all are excited to watch the youtube videos (plus like and subscribe to our channel). In one week we will be on spring break and in two weeks we will be headed home from the Arnold! So many exciting things happening soon.
Special Announcements for Everyone:
- The Arnold Classic: Get excited for one of the biggest competitions of the semester… the Arnold!! Help us earn points towards next year’s OSB and watch some impressive bodybuilding while you’re there! Rooms and Rides, registration and payment to the team are all due on Saturday, February 25. Please note that there will be a late fee for EACH DAY you are late in turning in R&R AND/OR payment. Refer to Amy’s email for more details and feel free to talk to a board member if you’re still on the fence about going – we would love to convince you to come!
- CMU Receipts: Hello drivers for CMU. You have until Tuesday, Feb 21st to get Jason your receipts. No receipt, no reimbursement, no exceptions.
- Schedule changes: Please note there will be no DTS on Thursday and instead there will be rounds at the IMSB from 9-11 pm. In addition, there is no newcomer lesson on Sunday due to Spring Break. The Ballroom Club is not hosting a lesson on 2/26!
- DanceMix: What’s a DanceMix? It’s only a performance of the best dance orgs (including your favorite, the MBDT) on campus. When, you may ask? March 24th at 7 pm in the Power Center. Tickets will be $10 and they sell out fast. I will be sure to send y’all a link when it becomes available. You can catch the A team showing off the best choreo created by Steve and Susan on stage.
- MSU & CMU Videos: Did you compete in the MSU competition? Watch your competition videos on our YouTube channel! Seeing yourself dance is one of the best ways to improve your skills. We’re currently trying to grow our channel, so please subscribe to it if you haven’t already! Also, stay tuned for your CMU competition videos coming soon this week.
- Michcomp Committee: Are you excited for Michcomp? This year, we are holding our own competition on April 15th. If you want to help us make sure everything runs smoothly, consider applying to be part of the Michcomp Committee! This is a low-commitment job that would only require a couple of hours a week. It would greatly help ease the load that’s put on our poor overworked board members, and it is a great way to contribute back to the team! Also, the people on the committee will receive compensation in the form of Ray’s eternal love and devotion. Apply here!
- STICKERS: What better way to decorate your laptop, hydro flask, or mirror at home than with stickers? We will be selling team stickers here. Stickers will be $3 each, and are hand drawn by our wonderful recruitment chair Luna! Orders are due next week Tuesday, Feb 21st.
