Hey everyone!
It was great to see everyone yesterday at Newcomer Lesson, where Ashley and Anushka went over the Waltz, Samba, and Quickstep, and added some moves. Let’s get ready for Carnegie this weekend, which fully two dozen of us are attending!
- Apparel Order – The deadline for apparel has been extended to Midnight Tonight, 10/6. Fill out this form and Venmo the team.
- Carnegie Classic- The Carnegie Classic will be on October 11th in Pittsburgh! Rooms and Rides will be coming out soon! If you’d like to have any questions, please email Emma at emmazink@umich.edu.
- Corn Maze Social – We will be going to a corn maze on the evening of Friday, October 17th at 5:30/6pm. Fill out this form by 10/9 to RSVP and get a carpool assignment. Tickets are $13, pay the team via venmo or cash and put your phone number and uniqname in the subject line.
- Newcomer Lessons and Rounds – Newcomer lessons continue in the IMSB Multipurpose Room A on Sundays from 3-5pm and Thursdays from 9-11pm. This Thursday, we will be holding Rounds for the Carnegie Mellon competition, where we’ll go through all the competition dances in order, instead of lesson. All are welcome to attend and dance all that they know. You can even come without a partner and find one there!
- Themed Sports Coliseum – We have moved to the Sports Coliseum for practices 9-11pm Monday through Thursday. The theme for Wednesday Sports Coliseum this week is MAIZE AND BLUE. Show us your school pride!
- Other Practice Spaces – You can go to the IM Multipurpose Rooms outside our booked time, check the facility schedule here. The third floor of the Union also has a big, usually empty hallway to be in.
- Competition Interest Form – If you are interested in competing this semester, please fill out the MBDT Fall 25 Competition Interest Form!
- Partner Search – Check out the partner search spreadsheet! Also if you have a partner and do not plan to dance with anyone else, please cross your name off the sheet.
- Liability Waiver – Fill out this Liability Waiver before attending newcomer lessons at the IMSB or practices at the Sports Coliseum.
- Google Calendar – we’ll be adding practices, competitions, social events, etc., to the team google calendar here.
- Google Photos – To preserve and share our team’s memories, place any photos you take in our google photo albums!
- Costume Sales – Looking for new gear for tryouts, practice, or competitions? Try the Dance America Deal of the Week.
