Hey everyone!
It was great to see everyone at lesson today, where Steve and Susan added on to the American Tango, Swing, and International Rumba. Purdue and the Ohio Star Ball are only a few weeks away, so come to review lesson and we’ll help you get even better! This week we’ll continue to Meet the Teams with the B team (see the bottom of this post):
- Newcomer Lessons – We’ve had a time conflict with another group for our lesson on Sunday 11/9, so we may be dancing somewhere else (exact location TBD). Keep your eyes peeled for a location change.
- Themed Sports Coliseum – We have moved to the Sports Coliseum for practices. Practice will be held 9-11pm Monday through Thursday. THERE WILL BE NO SPORCOL ON TUESDAY NOVEMBER 4TH DUE TO VOTING. INSTEAD WE WILL BE PRACTICING AT THE IM THAT DAY AT THE SAME TIME!!! The theme for Wednesday Sports Coliseum this week is Beach Day!
- MichComp Committee – We had our first MichComp Committee meeting today, organizing our home competition, which will be next semester. You should help. Meeting slides here.
- SAPAC Training – Because ballroom is a contact sport, we have mandatory SAPAC training that must be completed each year. This year, SAPAC will be held on November 12th, 6:30-8:00pm in Mason Hall. If you are not available to stay for the entire duration of the training, fill out this form by Friday Nov 7 at 11:59 pm.
