Nate Hodgson
President
Nate is a Second-Year Master’s Student studying Sustainability and Energy Systems Engineering. He is from Mt. Clemens, MI. and this is his fourth year on the team. When he isn’t dancing, he enjoys learning languages, playing strategy video games, and solving crosswords. His favorite dance the American Foxtrot.
Emma Zink

Emma Zink is a Senior studying Public Health, and she is from Okemos, MI. This is Emma’s fourth year on the team, and her favorite dance is the Cha Cha Cha.Outside of dance, Emma likes cooking, knitting, and spending time outside. She is also a dance teacher!
Owen Hoffend

Owen Hoffend (he/him/his) is a PhD student studying in Computer Science and Engineering. He grew up in Minnesota, but he now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area when not at UMich. Owen began dancing during his undergrad, and has been on UMBDT for 1 billion (1,000,000,000) semesters. Aside from dance, Owen enjoys cooking, playing piano, programming, video games, riding roller coasters, and various other hijinks. He’ll also gladly debate anything related to AI with you.
Marvin Shang

Marvin Shang (he/him) is a Junior studying Computer Science and Mathematics from the San Francisco Bay Area. This is his third year on the team, and his favorite dances are Jive, Quickstep, and Cha Cha. Outside of dance, he enjoys cooking and trying to build a consistent gym routine.

Nelly is a Sophomore from Chicago studying Sociology: Law, Justice, and Social Change. This is her second year on the team, and besides dancing, she loves knitting and biking. Her favorite dances are the Waltz and the Viennese Waltz.

Rachel Leonard (she/her/hers) is a Senior studying Actuarial Mathematics and Economics. She is from Frankfort, Illinois, and this is her fourth year on the team. She enjoys watching Disney Channel Original Movies, solving Rubik’s cubes, and social dancing. Her favorite dance is the sssssamba.

Grant Clawson is a 5th Year Senior studying Spanish. He is from Rochester, MI, and this is his 4th semester on the team. In his free time, he enjoys studying linguistics, reading, and video games.
