Hey everyone!
IT’S MICHCOMP WEEK Y’ALL!! Let’s all get ready for our home comp! Steve and Susan taught a very enjoyable lesson on Waltz, Quickstep, and Samba today, so come to practice tomorrow and Tuesday and Rounds on Thursday to lock it in! We’ll also meet the A team this week.
- MichComp – Welcome Dance this Friday 8-10pm, Competition starting at 8am
- It’s not too late to sign up if you haven’t already! There are plenty of people still looking for a partner, including on the Ultimate TBA Spreadsheet here. Make sure to fill out Emma’s ride form in her email. Please do this soon, especially if you have a car.
- All tryout team members will be signed up for a setup/teardown shift on Friday evening or Saturday after the competition. If you’re not available for some of these, fill out Emma’s form in her email to let us know.
- We’re putting in a group order to one of our sponsors, Playa Bowls, for lunch. Fill out this form by March 18th at 5pm and pay the team the appropriate amount.
- MichComp Shoutouts – We will be having shoutouts in our program at MichComp! This is a great way to support your friends on the team! It consists of a message and an optional photo. Please also send this to your parents if they’d be interested. The cost is $20 per shoutout. The deadline has been extended. If you’re interested, fill out this form by TOMORROW March 16!
- Practice Space – We have DTS and IM practice as usual this week, but not DTS on Thursday for MichComp Rounds and no Friday SporCol practice because of the welcome dance.
- End of Semester (EOS) Gathering – Our end of semester gathering, including elections for next year’s board, will be held on the night of 4/18. Keep an eye out for election materials and start thinking about what you’ll run for!
