Hey everyone!
Thank you so much for a wonderful year as president. I can’t believe the school year is already ending and we’re days away from seeing all our incredibly talented seniors graduate! I’ve loved watching you all grow as your president; you’ve all worked so hard and achieved so much both in dance and school. Thank you especially to this years’ board for supporting me and helping the team thrive. I’m so excited to continue as Curriculum Chair next year and work with the new board!
Our final newcomer lesson of the semester was today, a lovely Viennese Waltz/Paso Doble/International Cha Cha taught by Ashley and Anushka. Keep everything from newcomer lessons in mind while you practice over the summer!
- 2026-2027 MBDT Board – Congratulations to everyone who ran! It’s incredibly admirable to volunteer your time to lead our community. The next few weeks will be a transition period while we get everyone up to speed.

- Last Tryout Team Lessons – The final tryout team lessons will be held this Saturday, 4/25. The summer lesson schedule for tryout team members will be announced soon!
- Summer Practice Spaces – One great spot to go practice is our favorite IMSB! Michigan Recreation gyms will be free for students to use all summer long if they are enrolled in at least one credit hour during the winter, spring or summer semesters of this year. Additionally, keep an eye out for updates regarding DTS over the summer!
- Team Closet – Because the end of the year is coming up on us, it’s time to return your team closet items! Bring them to Sunday newcomer lesson sometime soon, or coordinate with Taryn or Nelly to drop them off some other time.
- Bowling – We are going bowling on Tuesday, April 28th at 8pm at Lucky Strike Ann Arbor, 1950 S Industrial Hwy. It will be $22/person for unlimited bowling all night and shoe rental. Fill out this form to give/get a ride.
- Competitions: Thank you all for competing with us this year. Please save the date for our biggest competitions for next year. Ohio Star Ball: Nov 21-22, 2026 and The Arnold Dancesport Classic: March 6-7, 2027
- Practice Space – No Newcomer lesson on Thursday or Sports Coliseum practice on Friday
