Hey y’all, welcome to our newcomers and I hope you enjoyed your weekend! Here are updates for the coming week!
- Lesson Schedule – We will be switching to Guided Practices for most Thursdays. We will review the content covered on the prior Sunday, then have open practice with teachers available to help you. Sundays will be the same lessons you know and love. They will still be on Sundays 3-5pm, Thursdays 9-11pm, at the IMSB.
- Individual attention from teachers is one of the most valuable resources to improve your dancing. We’re excited to help you!
- You don’t need a specific partner to do guided practice, but this is a great time to try dancing with someone to see if you’d like to be committed partners.
- Fall Practice Spaces – We’ve got a new schedule for practice space this year, see below. We’re also doing Theme Weeks now! This week’s costume theme is NEON COLORS! Wear neon at practice Monday through Wednesday!
- Monday: Sports Coliseum, 9-11pm
- Tuesday: IMSB MPR A, 9-11pm
- Wednesday: DTS, 10pm-12am
- Carpool Spreadsheet Sign-up HERE!
- Corn Maze Social – We will be going to a corn maze on the evening of Friday, October 16th at 6pm (departing at 5:30)! Fill out this form by 10/10 to RSVP and get a carpool assignment. Tickets are $14, pay the team via venmo or cash.
- Competitions – Our first two competitions are coming up! See Emily’s emails with information and the Rooms & Rides forms for both the Carnegie Classic (10/10) and OSU Dancesport Classic (10/24). Also, fill out THIS FORM to tell us what competitions you may be interested in! It is non-binding but it helps us budget so things can be cheaper for YOU!

- We are also planning to hold a partner search event next Monday, 10/5, where you can show up and talk to prospective partners in a speed-dating style social. Fill out THIS FORM if you are interested in attending!
- Rec Sports Liability Waiver – Don’t forget to fill out your annual Liability Waiver for IMSB, Hadley, Sports Coliseum
- Ballroom Apparel Reviews – Do you have recommendations for ballroom apparel? Words of caution? Help your fellow dancers out and add them to this spreadsheet!
