Hey y’all, welcome back to school! I know you’re busy with school or whatever, but here’s some fun stuff to do and updates about the team!
- Free Newcomer Lessons – We’ll be having our free newcomer lessons at the same time, same place: Thursdays 9-11pm and Sundays 3-5pm in IMSB Multipurpose A. Be there or be square! Invite your friends – the free lessons start this week! September 3rd through September 24th.
- Tryouts – Tryouts will be held on 9/20 from 3-5pm in IMSB Multipurpose A, and we have the room from 1-3pm for open practice beforehand. Returning members are welcome to try out, and new members are welcome to come observe!
- Fall Practice Spaces – We’ve got a new schedule for practice space this year, see below.
- Monday: Sports Coliseum, 9-11pm
- Tuesday: IMSB MPR A 9-11pm
- Wednesday: DTS, 10-12pm
- Thursday: IMSB MPR A, 9-11pm (NOT OPEN during the free lesson period)
- Showcase Sign-up – Dues Day
- We’ll be showing off our finest dancers (everyone receiving this email) on and around the last day of free lessons (9/24)

- Shoe Vending – We will be having shoe vending on Monday, September 21 and Tuesday, September 22. More details to come, including a carpool signup.
- Scavenger Hunt – Next Sunday, September 7th! What better way is there to celebrate coming back to school than to go on a Scavenger Hunt with some of your best friends! Who knows, you might even get some candy along the way…
- FLASH MOB – We are doing a flash mob on Thursday (September 3) this week. Come to the Sport Coliseum tomorrow (Monday, August 31) to learn the choreo. Join the GroupMe here for updates.
- Competitions – Fill out THIS FORM to tell us what competitions you may be interested in! It is non-binding but it helps us budget so things can be cheaper for YOU!
- Rec Sports Liability Waiver – Don’t forget to fill out your annual Liability Waiver for IMSB, Hadley, Sports Coliseum
- Ballroom Apparel Reviews – Do you have recommendations for ballroom apparel? Words of caution? Help your fellow dancers out and add them to this spreadsheet!
- Partner Search – Looking for a partner? Look no further than the Partner Search Spreadsheet for this semester!
- Save the Date – Ohio Star Ball: Nov 21-22, 2026 and The Arnold Dancesport Classic: March 6, 2027!
