Hey y’all, I’m so proud of everyone who competed yesterday. Just one more week until fall break, and then you’re free! (for two days)! Read the week’s updates below.

• Lesson Schedule – We will continue to have newcomer lessons on Sundays from 3-5pm, and review + guided practice on Thursdays from 9-11pm, all at the IMSB MPR A.
  • We will NOT be having lesson on Sunday, October 18th, because it is fall break.
• Fall Practice Spaces – This week’s costume theme is beach day! Express the pain deep in your soul through florals at practice Monday through Wednesday!
  • Monday: Sports Coliseum, 9-11pm
  • Tuesday: IMSB MPR A, 9-11pm
  • Wednesday: DTS, 10pm-12am

• MichComp Committee Interest Form – We also host MichComp, our own competition, in the Winter Semester (2/20/2027)! If you are interested in joining one of the committees that helps us run MichComp, please fill out THIS FORM by FRIDAY THE 16TH!
• Ballroom Buddies – If you are nervous about coming up to approved teachers or upper-level team members at practice, worry not! You can sign up for ballroom buddies by 10/15 (deadline extended just for you<3) so you always have a go-to person to reach out to with questions, comments, or concerns. Your buddies can give you advice and help with anything from A to Z.
• Corn Maze Social – We will be going to Blast Corn Maze on Friday! Look out for an email from Jack with ride information. 
• Competitions – Read Emily’s emails for information about upcoming competitions (spoiler alert: OSU on 10/24 and Purdue on 11/14). Also, fill out THIS FORM to tell us what competitions you may be interested in! It is non-binding but it helps us budget so things can be cheaper for YOU! 
• Comp Prep Night – If you want to learn more about how ballroom competitions work, we’ve got the night for you! Come to our competition preparation night on Wednesday, October 28th at 8:30pm to learn more about how you can get ready for our upcoming competitions.
• Save the Date(s) – Ohio Star Ball: Nov 21-22, 2026, MichComp: February 20,2027, and The Arnold Dancesport Classic: March 6, 2027!
