Hey y’all! While summer definitely isn’t over, we are looking around the corner to the start of the school year and have some things you should know so you can hit the ground running with the team this year.
- 2026-2027 MBDT Board – As a reminder, here is our board. You can reach out to any of us about any issue that you have, we are here to support you.

- Free Newcomer Lessons – We’ll be having our free newcomer lessons at the same time, same place: Thursdays 9-11pm and Sundays 3-5pm in IMSB Multipurpose A. Be there or be square! Invite your friends – the free lessons start September 3rd and end September 24th.
- Tryouts – Tryouts will be held on 9/20 from 3-5pm in the IMSB, during the normal newcomer time, with an additional warm-up time from 1-3pm in the same room.
- Fall Practice Spaces – We’ve got a new schedule for practice space this year, see below.
- Monday: Sports Coliseum, 9-11pm
- Tuesday: IMSB MPR A 9-11, DTS 9-11
- Wednesday: DTS, 10-12pm
- Thursday: IMSB MPR A, 9-11pm

- Showcase Sign-up – Dues Day
- We’ll be showing off our finest dancers (everyone receiving this email) on and around the last day of free lessons (9/24)

- Artscapade – We are going to have performances and flyering at Artscapade this Friday, August 28th, at 7pm in front of the UMMA. Come support!
- Rec Sports Liability Waiver – Don’t forget to fill out your annual Liability Waiver for IMSB, Hadley, Sports Coliseum
- Ballroom Apparel Reviews – Do you have recommendations for ballroom apparel? Words of caution? Help your fellow dancers out and add them to this spreadsheet!
